PHOTOSHOOT TWO
For the 2nd shoot in this unit I wanted to focus on “across the canal” from Trafford park, where Media City has become the biggest site in the UK for TV, radio, social media and the digital age, only a stones throw away from an industrial centre. I wanted to try and explore the shapes, reflections and shadows that still have reminders of the past.

Review
On this shoot I encountered the difficulties associated with the legal aspect of photography and was asked to leave the location as it was private property, odd considering I had been there several times before. I was there over the course of the afternoon and into the early evening I lowered my shutter speed and increased my aperture as the day went on, I really did enjoy shooting in the late evening.
The shots above are the ones I’m happiest with, the contrast of Media city with the smoke billowing behind shows just how close it is, and the traditional porthole style windows reflecting the modern architecture for some reason are my favourites.
I’ve chosen the 4 images above as my best images as I feel they reflect the atmosphere and mood I was trying to convey the best. I think the monochrome images really add to the industrial feel, and the image with the warning light in colour whilst using a shallow depth of field came out particularly well.
